This year our stake felt it is important to support Cornerstone Assistance in its coat drive. Cornerstone is a wonderful multi-faith organization that serves our community and neighbors. They have asked us if we can help them provide 197 coats! The donations they ask for are for chosen individuals who would otherwise go without. Each coat is for a specific adult or child. There will be two large boxes in the foyer labeled Cornerstone Coat Drive for members to drop off coats. You can also drop coats off at Sister Sallaway’s home (1151 Amistad Drive, Prosper TX 75078) or you can purchase a coat online and send a donation directly to Sister Sallaway's address. See the Signup Genius link below for details.
Our stake leaders and the mission presidency have asked that you consider a family that you can introduce to the Church. Many of you have fasted and prayed about this and have received inspiration regarding a family that you have already introduced to the Church. If you have not had that inspiration come to you, continue to seek it and move forward with faith that the Lord will bless you in your efforts. Please pray for blessings to be poured out upon the families that are currently progressing toward baptism in our stakes.
A special Stake Conference will be held on Sunday Jan 6, 2019 at the Frisco Stake Center at 10:00 AM. A General Authority will preside. All members of the stake are encouraged to attend, more details will be forthcoming.
Every Thursday, 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Frisco West building (10400 Legacy Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033-1334)
Electrical Shock
If you get even mildly shocked when touching an appliance, a ground fault or bad electrical wiring may be causing this problem. If you get shocked when crossing a carpet, that’s due to normal static electricity that occurs during the winter months. Any other types of electrical shock you experience in your home may be indicative of a dangerous problem.
