We officially received notification from the stake that our ward’s meeting time for next year in 2022 will be from 10:00-12:00.
For youth 14 years and older there will be a multi-stake new years stake dance on Friday December 31 from 8:30 pm-12:30 am in Carrolton. Please see flyer for details.
On January 8th many in our stake will have the opportunity to be taught in person by a member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, a member of the Presidency of the Seventy, a member of our Area Presidency, and our Area Seventy.
Of special note is the Youth Devotional at 3:00P. Our stake is assigned to attend and conduct the Youth Devotional. There will be several young men and women from our stake who will speak and participate in the music. Attendees are "youth only" so it will be a little of a challenge to drop the youth off and then pick them up, but it is a rare opportunity to meet an Apostle in person, so please make any arrangements possible for our youth to participate.
Youth Devotional – 3:00 PM (Sponsored by the Prosper Texas Stake, but held at the Lewisville Stake Center)
We welcome anyone interested in singing to attend choir practice on Sundays in the chapel from 3:15-4:30.
In order for the Bishop and Elders Quorum president to fulfill their duty, it is important for every family to take this 3 to 4 minute survey. Only the Bishop and Elders Quorum President will have access to this information.
Please go to the following link: Emergency Preparedness Survey "
There will be a ward youth temple trip for all youth that are turning 12 or older on February 16. More details will be shared in the coming months. All youth are encouraged to mark their calendars now and plan to schedule the time off from work so everyone can attend together.
Every 2nd Sunday of the month the Stake has a missionary prep class at 7 pm in then Stake Center for all youth 15 years and older. For any questions please contact Bother and Sister Argyle.
If you are working with youth and have not taken the church's Youth Protection Training in the past three years, please follow this link to take the class. It takes about 30 minutes.
Please click on the link for the month of December primary newsletter.
We have a live video feed for our meeting today. However, due to the sacred nature of the sacrament we won’t broadcast the ordinance of the sacrament. To preserve the continuity of the broadcast we will hear from our speakers first and then conclude the meeting with the administration of the sacrament. Here is the link to the live video feed and below are instructions for accessing it. Any questions or issues please reach out to Brother Creel.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This past year has been one of great trial for so many in our Stake as well as the nation and the world. In the midst of all that occurred, the living Prophet by inspiration reminded us of the healing power of "Gratitude". As a Stake Presidency, we have felt that same spirit of inspiration touch our hearts as we have considered our Stake Theme for 2021.
Here is the attachment that outlines the Prosper Texas Stake theme for 2021. In a word, the 2021 theme is
Gratitude
The scripture associated with this theme is Alma 34:38.
“That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.”
This theme will be reflected in Conferences including Youth Conference as well as talks from the Stake Presidency and High Council.
As you make your own individual and family goals and plans for 2021, we hope that you would consider "Gratitude" and allow the peace and healing associated with it to bless your lives.
May the Lord bless each of you in this coming year!
