The stake is having a missionary activity January 12th, 15th and 19th for high school Juniors and Seniors. Youth need to sign up as soon as possible. Youth will be called to a mission and be assigned a companion. They will visit, teach, and eat with an assigned host family from our stake on Sunday, January 19th. Please also sign up if you are willing to be a host family.
This Saturday, January 11, our ward is responsible for cleaning the building. Families with last names beginning with R-Z are assigned to clean this Saturday at 9am.
For this school year our ward’s primary and youth activities will be on Wednesday nights. Activities will generally be held here at the church unless leaders notify you of a different location.
We would love to have you join us at our adult institute class sponsored by the Prosper Stake. Class begins Wednesday, September 11th @ 9:30 am and runs through May 7th, located at 970 N. If you are working with youth and have not taken the church's Youth Protection Training in the past three years, please follow this link to take the class. It takes about 30 minutes.
We have a live video feed for our meeting today. However, due to the sacred nature of the sacrament we won’t broadcast the ordinance of the sacrament. The zoom link to the live video feed is below. Any questions or issues please reach out to Brother Creel.

Members who want to attend the Dallas Texas Temple to perform proxy ordinances now have the option to either schedule an appointment or attend without an appointment, where space is available.
As priority will be given to members with appointments, those who attend without an appointment may be asked to wait for an opportunity to participate. As it has always been, appointments will still be necessary for all members who come to receive their own ordinances (endowment and sealing).
You are encouraged to attend the temple as often as your circumstances allow.
You can reserve an appointment on https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org, in the Member Tools app, or by calling the temple. Also you may now schedule multiple appointments for any ordinance in any temple.
How to protect your home from winter storms (part 2)
Prevent ice dams.
Eliminate heat sources under the roof, such as lights and heaters in the attic, that can contribute to thawing.
Keep the attic cool and ventilated to stop or slow the refreezing cycle.
Consult a roofing professional to remove snow or standing water before an ice dam can form.
Invest in a roof rake, a tool that allows you to stand on the ground and safely brush snow off the roof.
Avoid trying to chip any ice dams off your roof, as you could damage the roof. Ask a roof specialist for help instead.
Talk with your roof specialist about sealing the roof deck with a moisture barrier.
