Adult Ward Game Night -August 19,2023-start time is around 7:30 pm
Please sign up to be assigned to a small group for adult game night. You will enjoy time getting to know one another, play games and share desserts. Please sign up to host, or participate. The host will either plan the game and/or even ask for help from members of the small group. The host will also make assignments for desserts. Start/end time is negotiable based on what works best for each group!
Please sign up using the sign up genius. Last day to sign up is August 14. Assignments will be made on the 15th for planning purposes!
July is our ward’s turn to clean the church each week. Thanks to those who assisted with the cleaning yesterday. Any members who were unable to make their assigned week earlier this month, are invited to meet at the church at 9am on Saturday to help clean.
There will be a combined young men activity this Wednesday at the Evanson’s house from 7-8:30. Please have them bring a towel.
Prosper Stake Adult Religion Class will start back up on Wednesday mornings beginning August 23 at 9:30 in the Prosper Stake Center. Please see Flyer.

There will be Mission Prep tonight . Mission Prep is at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center. This is “Mission Prep Bootcamp” and mission prep will then be held every Sunday for the next two months until School starts except for July 2.
For the summer the Primary June and July second hour Sunday schedule will be singing time first and class time second for all primary kids.

After you receive a ward level temple recommend interview you will need to have a stake temple recommend interview. You can set that up with one of the stake presidency counselors through the following links.

The week of every third Saturday will be our ward's temple week. Saturday August 19 at 7pm will be the official ward temple session. If you cannot make this night please try and attend any session that week at the temple. Please don't forget that you need to sign up for a reservation.
There will be no Ward Choir Practice during the summer months.

Thursday's 8:00 pm at the Prosper Building, (970 N. Coit Rd., Prosper). For those who struggle with any addiction, men and women welcome. They meet in the Relief Society Room.
Spouse and Family Support Group Meeting - Women Only
Meetings will be held Sundays at 7pm at the Legacy Bldg., (10400 Legacy Dr., Frisco, TX). Support for loved ones of those in recovery. Meeting is in room 116 by the Bishops office, park in the South parking lot. For more information please contact Sister Wilding at (469)512-5405.

Members who want to attend the Dallas Texas Temple to perform proxy ordinances now have the option to either schedule an appointment or attend without an appointment, where space is available.
As priority will be given to members with appointments, those who attend without an appointment may be asked to wait for an opportunity to participate. As it has always been, appointments will still be necessary for all members who come to receive their own ordinances (endowment and sealing).
You are encouraged to attend the temple as often as your circumstances allow.
You can reserve an appointment on https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org, in the Member Tools app, or by calling the temple. Also you may now schedule multiple appointments for any ordinance in any temple.
HOW TO STAY SAFE WHEN A WINTER STORM THREATENS:
Survive DURING:
Stay off roads if at all possible. If trapped in your car, then stay inside.
Limit your time outside. If you need to go outside, then wear layers of warm clothing. Watch for signs of frostbite and hypothermia.
Avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Only use generators and grills outdoors and away from windows. Never heat your home with a gas stovetop or oven.
Reduce the risk of a heart attack. Avoid overexertion when shoveling snow.
Watch for signs of frostbite and hypothermia and begin treatment right away.
Check on neighbors. Older adults and young children are more at risk in extreme cold.
