Fact: Self-reliance is for all members of the church, regardless of employment or financial stability.
Myth: Self-reliance is just food storage and emergency supplies.
Fact: Self-reliance actively helps you become responsible in building your character, your happiness, and your faith for a lifetime of growth.
Myth: Self-reliance is just another church program that robs me of my personal and family time.
Fact: Self-reliance saves you time by helping you use it more effectively.
Myth: I have to be invited by the bishop or ward council to attend a self- reliance group.
Fact: Ask your bishop to be invited, or just show up for the devotional. We need you!

Burning Odor
If you notice burning smells from outlets or switches, turn the power off at the electrical panel and immediately contact an electrician. You may have a problem with wiring, a faulty device or an overload. This is a serious problem, as it’s a sign that an electrical fire may be starting. If any connected wires or cords are warm, you probably have an electrical issue. Do not use any of these outlets or switches until the problem has been resolved.
