Join us at a celebration of world cultures! Prosper Texas Stake is hosting a festival to showcase food, music, and dance from around the world. Hispanic heritage is highlighted in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, and all other representation is also welcome!
See flyer for an outline of events. Stop in or stay a while! Don't miss the professional mariachi band at 4 pm or come and dance the evening away from 8 to 10 pm. Small bites will be served from about 4 to 7 pm (or until we run out), and stay for some entertainment from 5 to 8 pm.
If you would like to share your own heritage or even just one you love and know well (perhaps from missionary service), please contact one of our ward ambassadors for details and to sign up for food or an entertainment slot.
Sister Anna Hawkins and her husband Daniel Mann are our ward "ambassadors" for the sign ups to bring food or entertainment.
We will have a ward linger longer on Sunday September 29. Please bring your favorite conference treat, sweet or savory. Please meet in the cultural hall after church to enjoy food and fellowship.
For this school year our ward’s primary and youth activities will be on Wednesday nights. Activities will generally be held here at the church unless leaders notify you of a different location.

Because we are now the last ward, we will have a regular schedule for building clean-up after church. See below for all clean-up responsibilities.
Deacons: Take down flag, empty garbages and diaper pails and reline cans in boys bathroom and small bathroom
Teachers: Empty garbage and reline cans in all classrooms and the sacrament prep room; clean out and put away sacrament trays
Young Women 12-14: Empty garbages and diaper pails and reline cans in women’s bathroom and mother’s room
Priests and YW 15-18: Take down chairs in RS, YW, Gym Overflow, and Primary rooms and set up for seminary
Elders: Take down chairs in larger part of gym
Primary/Youth: Put away chairs in the room they have class in
Bishopric: Lock up and turn off lights
We would love to have you join us at our adult institute class sponsored by the Prosper Stake. Class begins Wednesday, September 11th @ 9:30 am and runs through May 7th, located at 970 N. Coit in Prosper. We provide a nursery for those who RSVP. Our curriculum this year is "Women in the Scriptures" and our instructors are Shahna Argyle, Kristen Gurksnis, Amy Schelin, and Meredith Sonneborn. Mission Prep is at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center and is for all youth 15 years and older. Please see below for a list of all the dates for 2024.

After you receive a ward level temple recommend interview you will need to have a stake temple recommend interview. You can set that up with one of the stake presidency counselors through the following links.

The week of every third Saturday will be our ward's temple week. Our next ward temple night will be Saturday October 19 at 7pm. If you cannot make this night please try and attend any session that week at the temple. Please don't forget that you need to sign up for a reservation.
If you are working with youth and have not taken the church's Youth Protection Training in the past three years, please follow this link to take the class. It takes about 30 minutes.

General Addiction
Thursday's 8:00 pm at the Prosper Building, (970 N. Coit Rd., Prosper). For those who struggle with any addiction, men and women welcome. They meet in the Relief Society Room.

Members who want to attend the Dallas Texas Temple to perform proxy ordinances now have the option to either schedule an appointment or attend without an appointment, where space is available.
As priority will be given to members with appointments, those who attend without an appointment may be asked to wait for an opportunity to participate. As it has always been, appointments will still be necessary for all members who come to receive their own ordinances (endowment and sealing).
You are encouraged to attend the temple as often as your circumstances allow.
You can reserve an appointment on https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org, in the Member Tools app, or by calling the temple. Also you may now schedule multiple appointments for any ordinance in any temple.
Food Storage Tips:
Keep food in a dry, cool spot- a dark area if possible.
Keep food covered at all times.
Open food boxes or cans carefully so that you can close them tightly after each use.
Wrap cookies and crackers in plastic bags, and keep them in tight containers.
Empty opened packages of sugar, dried fruits and nuts into screw-top jars or air-tight cans to protect them from pests.
Inspect all food for signs of spoilage before use.
Use foods before they go bad, and replace them with fresh supplies, dated with ink or marker. Place new items at the back of the storage area and older ones in front.
