We will be having our Ward Thanksgiving activity this Saturday, November 16th, at 6pm here at the church. If you have not done so already, please sign up to bring mashed potatoes and/or a pie at this link.
The Deacons are doing a Thanksgiving Food Drive to supply needy families with the food needed to have a Thanksgiving meal. Please click on the link below to sign up for a donation.
We will be coming by this Saturday, November 16th between 8-9 AM to pick up your donations. You can leave them on your porch if you will not be at home.
For this school year our ward’s primary and youth activities will be on Wednesday nights. Activities will generally be held here at the church unless leaders notify you of a different location.

Because we are now the last ward, we will have a regular schedule for building clean-up after church. See below for all clean-up responsibilities.
Deacons: Take down flag, empty garbages and diaper pails and reline cans in boys bathroom and small bathroom
Teachers: Empty garbage and reline cans in all classrooms and the sacrament prep room; clean out and put away sacrament trays
Young Women 12-14: Empty garbages and diaper pails and reline cans in women’s bathroom and mother’s room
Priests and YW 15-18: Take down chairs in RS, YW, Gym Overflow, and Primary rooms and set up for seminary
Elders: Take down chairs in larger part of gym
Primary/Youth: Put away chairs in the room they have class in
Bishopric: Lock up and turn off lights
We would love to have you join us at our adult institute class sponsored by the Prosper Stake. Class begins Wednesday, September 11th @ 9:30 am and runs through May 7th, located at 970 N. Coit in Prosper. We provide a nursery for those who RSVP. Our curriculum this year is "Women in the Scriptures" and our instructors are Shahna Argyle, Kristen Gurksnis, Amy Schelin, and Meredith Sonneborn. After you receive a ward level temple recommend interview you will need to have a stake temple recommend interview. You can set that up with one of the stake presidency counselors through the following links.

The week of every third Saturday will be our ward's temple week. There will be no Ward Temple night this Saturday due to the wardsgiving activity. Our next ward temple night will be Saturday December 21 at 7pm. If you cannot make this night please try and attend any session that week at the temple. Please don't forget that you need to sign up for a reservation.
If you are working with youth and have not taken the church's Youth Protection Training in the past three years, please follow this link to take the class. It takes about 30 minutes.

Members who want to attend the Dallas Texas Temple to perform proxy ordinances now have the option to either schedule an appointment or attend without an appointment, where space is available.
As priority will be given to members with appointments, those who attend without an appointment may be asked to wait for an opportunity to participate. As it has always been, appointments will still be necessary for all members who come to receive their own ordinances (endowment and sealing).
You are encouraged to attend the temple as often as your circumstances allow.
You can reserve an appointment on https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org, in the Member Tools app, or by calling the temple. Also you may now schedule multiple appointments for any ordinance in any temple.
If the Electricity Goes Off…
First, use perishable food and foods from the refrigerator.
Then, use the foods from the freezer. To minimize the number of times you open the freezer door, post a list of freezer contents on it. In a well-insulated freezer, foods will usually still have icy crystals in their centers (meaning foods are safe to eat) for at least three days.
Finally, begin to use non-perishable foods and staples.
