Ward Youth Activity

Combined youth activity this Wednesday from 7-8 in the church North parking lot The youth will have a skate night. Please bring rollerskates, blades, longboards or skateboards. Please no bikes. See flyer for details.

Stake Youth Activity

There will be a stake youth activity on November 14 at the new stake center. Please see flyer for details.

Tithing Settlement

Virtual tithing settlement will be starting next Sunday, November 8. An email with a Sign Up Genius link was sent out. Please sign up for a time slot. This will be the only day left to sign up.

Sacrament Meetings

• Starting October 11, we will no longer have a sign-up to attend sacrament. We invite all to attend, following the safety protocols President Platt outlined in his email to the stake (wearing masks, socially distancing, staying at home if not feeling well)

• If you would like to continue to hold sacrament in your home, please reach out to Bishop Schofield about sacrament authorization.

• Stay tuned for additional information on a possible online broadcast of our future sacrament meetings.

Youth Activities

• We are starting to plan more regular youth activities, starting with 1 or 2 per month.

• Our ward will have the church building 1 Wednesday each month for those activities.

• Classes and quorums may plan an additional activity outdoors elsewhere if weather permits.

Stake Missionary Prep Class

The next stake missionary prep class is November 8. Please see the flyer for a list of all the class dates for the 2020/2021 school year.

Missionary Meal Signup

Please go to the following link to sign up to feed the missionaries dinner. The missionaries can eat dinner at any time, it does not have to be at 4 pm, and are allowed to eat with members. Missionary Meal Signup

Addiction Recovery and Family and Spouse Support

We are very excited to announce we are again holding in person meetings for both the Addiction Recovery support group and the Family and Spouse support group.

Addiction Recovery will continue at 9:00 pm at the Coit building in the RS room at 970 N Coit, Prosper

Family and Spouse support will resume at 10:30 am at the Legacy building in the RS room 10400 Legacy Dr., Frisco

We will meet in the Relief Society Room for both meetings in order to maintain social distancing protocols for seating and encourage participants to wear masks.

Sunday School

We hope you continue to have faith building experiences as you study Come, Follow Me. We would like to invite you to download and use the church's Living app to share your thoughts and impressions, especially during this time when meeting together each week is not possible.

Sharing your spiritual insights through the app is simple – open the app on your device, click on "Circles" in the bottom right, then select the group that is most relevant. For example, you can select "Adult" to share with all adult members of Sunday School.

Ministering

At this unprecedented time the Bishop wants everyone to continue reaching out to their ministering families and make sure they are doing well. Please reach out to President Schaack or Sister Taylor if anything needs to be brought to their attention.

Family Finances: Another aspect of provident living is wisely managing income and expenses. The First Presidency has counseled: “We urge you to be modest in your expenditures; discipline yourselves in your purchases to avoid debt.

“If you have paid your debts and have a financial reserve, even though it be small, you and your family will feel more secure and enjoy greater peace in your hearts.” 10

Successful family finances begin with the payment of tithes and offerings. When members put the Lord first, they are better able to care for themselves and others.

Another part of successful financial management involves knowing your income and expenses and controlling money rather than letting it control you.
